The motif of this painting is easily associated with Jewish culture: the color blue dominates the work, while the construction at its center resembles the columns of a synagogue’s altar (or bimah).  Indeed, one synagogue played a particularly significant role in the life of Rimvidas Jankauskas-Kampas – a life that saw poverty, inspiration, as well as mystical experiences.
